Mtre. Jean-François Hudon
Mtre. Jean-François Hudon founded Hudon Attorneys in 2016 after evolving during several years within renowned firms such as Davies, Heenan Blaikie and Woods. He practices in the fields of civil and commercial litigation and specializes namely in matters pertaining to securities litigation.
Prior to his career in law, Mtre. Hudon worked in the finance industry as an investment advisor for a securities firm. As such, he acquired a thorough knowledge of the finance sector and the financial markets.
Mtre. Hudon has completed the Canadian Securities Course, the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, and the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course of the Canadian Securities Institute. He also studied Finance at ESC Bordeaux in France.

Mtre. Emmanuelle Demers

Mtre. Emmanuelle Demers is a litigator, arbitrator and mediator. She joined the team of Hudon Attorneys in 2019 after having practiced litigation and arbitration within leading international and regional law firms for almost 15 years.
She practices in the areas of civil, commercial, administrative and constitutional litigation. She has a strong track record in international arbitration and complex cross-border disputes. She has also acquired expertise in sports doping matters.
She specializes in the areas of contractual disputes, product liability, D&O liability, shareholders remedies, class actions and public law litigation. She has a solid experience in judicial review of administrative proceedings. She has appeared before all judicial instances in Quebec, as well as before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
With a Big Law background in advocacy, as well as in-house experience with a leading Telecom company, Emmanuelle offers versatility of skills and practical know-how.
She has a B.A. from McGill University (1999) and holds a joint law degree from the University of Ottawa; she is the recipient of the gold medal of the faculty of civil law (2002) and the gold medal of the faculty of common law (2003). She clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Honorable Justice Morris J. Fish (2003-2004).
While handling a full time legal practice, she completed the Advanced Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School (2017), a Certificate in Accounting and Finance for Non-Financial Managers (McGill, 2018) and an MBA (McGill/HEC, 2019). She wrote her final MBA paper on the impact of artificial intelligence (A.I.) on the delivery of legal services and the practice of law.
She is part of various initiatives and working groups that are analyzing the impact of A.I. on different industries such as insurance and banking. She is also currently pursuing doctoral studies in law/ethics (LL.D., Université de Montréal). Her doctoral work seeks to analyze various legal and ethical issues raised by the increased use of algorithmic decision-making systems.
She sits on the board of the Musée d’Art Contemporain (MAC), ELEKTRA (international festival of digital art) and the Canada College Health and Education Foundation.
She is a member of the Association des Femmes en Finance du Québec (AFFQ), the International Association of Artificial Intelligence and Law (IAAIL) and is on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association – Research/Knowledge Management section.
Mtre Angèle Di Giovanni
Mtre Angèle Di Giovanni joined our team in 2018. She holds a Master degree in North-American Common Law from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Barreau du Québec.
Mtre Di Giovanni has multiple experiences in private practice, namely in civil and commercial litigation, in corporate law and in labour law.
Her multidisciplinary background allows her to fully understand the issues and priorities of her clients, whether it is in a litigation or in business perspective, and to provide them with solutions adapted to their needs. Mtre. Di Giovanni has a proven track record of intellectual rigor which is illustrated by the complexity of the cases she works on.
Me Di Giovanni represents her clients’ interests before the various civil proceedings, in first instance and in appeal.

Ms. Laurianne Falardeau joined Hudon Attorneys in 2016 to complete her internship as a paralegal and subsequently officially joined the firm 2017. She holds a DEC in Paralegal Technology from CDI College.
She assists lawyers in the preparation of various procedures, examinations and trials. Additionally, her work led her to prepare summaries of out-of-court examinations, decisions and to carry out case law, doctrinal and legislative research.

Mtre Sarah Bazinet joined our team in 2018 as a student. She then completed her articling at our firm and is now working as a lawyer. She practices in the fields of civil and commercial litigation.
During her studies, Ms. Bazinet developed an interest in litigation. She was also very involved in student life, notably as a volunteer for the Bureau d’information juridique de l’Université Laval (BIJ), as a Model United Nations participant, and as a tennis player for the Rouge et Or team.
Mtre Bazinet represents her clients’ interests before the various civil proceedings, and is committed to her clients’ satisfaction.

Mr. Jérémy Dubé Fortier
Mr. Jérémy Dubé Fortier joined our team in 2019 as a student. He is currently in the process of obtaining both his civil law and common law degrees at McGill University. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Law (with high distinction) from Carleton University. During his studies, Mr. Fortier developed a critical approach to law in the context of international trade, more particularly in the field of public procurement and international arbitration.
Prior to joining Hudon Attorneys, Mr. Fortier worked as a debt collector for a private financing company and as a student in a law firm specialized in civil and commercial litigation.
The scope of Mr. Fortier’s duties consists of assisting all lawyers of the firm in analyzing their files, drafting legal documents and pleadings, in addition to conducting jurisprudential and doctrinal research.
